Day 1: Lough Leane

Thursday 27th June

The riders fly over to Cork and head through Munster to the picturesque town of Killarney.

The first ride is a leg warmer around Lough Leane, from which the River Laune flows to The Dingle Peninsula, signalling our route for tomorrow.

Lough Leane is a magical place, known as ‘The Lake Of Learning’ and home to the historic Ross Castle, it even has it’s own mythical monster akin to that of Loch Ness across the Irish Sea.

After stretching those hamstrings and blowing out the cobwebs, the riders will hunker down for the night and prepare for two epic days of cycling.

Day 2: Killarney to Tralee

The Wild Atlantic Way has earned it’s name, with cascading cliffs and steep inclines, our riders will have their work cut out for them.

Taking in the stunning Dingle Peninsula, our group will have to cover more than 72 miles with over 1000m elevation gain.

If cycling up the height of Mount Snowdon wasn’t enough, the riders are likely to face Atlantic headwinds for most of day, especially when the Irish Gods hear there’s 20 Englishmen abroad in the Kingdom County of Kerry!

Day 3: Tralee To Limerick

The fellas will no doubt be nursing a pair of sore legs after Day 2, but the riding doesn’t let up. They’ll be faced with more than 80 miles of gruelling riding, taking in the black cliffs of Ballybunion along the way to the ride’s conclusion in Limerick.

The Treaty City awaits the riders as they conclude their epic journey. With a celebration dinner and the famous spoof awards likely to make an appearance, we can be sure the lads will sleep well after a big day of riding.

Thanks for joining us on this adventure, we’re doing this to raise money for Seashell Trust, Leukaemia Care UK, Manchester Hospitals Foundation Trust and Cancer Research UK.

We can all relate to the amazing work that these organisations do and many of us have a personal connection to them, we therefore ask you to dig deep and donate what you can, let’s make this our best fundraising year yet!
